Boussoufa out of Morocco squad

One of Moroccoâ??s star players, Mbark Boussoufa has failed to make their provisional 30-man squad due to injury.

The attacking midfielder from Belgian club Anderlecht is currently injured and will only return to action towards the end of January.

Siedentopf wins Pupkewitz Jetty Mile

The 16-year-old Maximilian Siedentopf was the overall winner of the inaugural Pupkewitz Jetty Mile which took place in Swakopmund on Friday, December 28.

Siedentopf covered the event, which consisted of a one mile swim and another mile run, in a time of 29 minutes 54 seconds.

Ben Bamfuchile â?? A tribute

Ben Bamfuchile is dead. I can hardly believe that this great man is not with us anymore. Forever humble, he chose his own path through the pitfalls and tribulations of Namibian soccer, alienating a lot of people along the way.

Bamfuchile passes on

Former Namibian soccer coach Ben Bamfuchile passed on in the northern Zambian town of Kitwe on Thursday evening, December 27.

Lusakatimes.com reports:

47-year old Ben Bamfuchile had been admitted at Poly Clinic in Nkana West Township over two weeks ago, but finally passed away on Thursday evening. According to Lusakatimes.com, the highly respected coach died at exactly 22:15PM local time at the Clinic.

Ailing Brave Warriors coach Ben Bamfuchile passed away last night in his native Zambia, where he was recovering from a mysterious illness.

His wife broke the bad news to the Brave Warriors team manager Tim Isaacs on Wednesday, December 27 â?? the same day he was scheduled to report for duty in Namibia.

Guinea name strong provisional squad

Pupkewitz Jetty Mile

This coming Friday the Pupkewitz Jetty Mile will be taking place in Swakopmund. This first time event has captured the spirit of the open water sea swimmer and to date there are over 50 entrants eager to plunge into the sea and swim the one mile from the Aquarium past the Jetty to The Mole.
