Namibia Sport scoops the awards

Our investigative reporter Frederico Links won the Sport Reporter of the Year award while Namibia Sport editor Helge Schutz won the Sport Photographer of the Year award.

According to FIFA, the problems of Namibian football are so deep-seated that a total re-organisation and re-construction of football structures, from the constitution to NFA competitions, is required.

Hosea, Johannes are 15km Champions
Submitted by editor on Mon, 07/31/2006 - 13:17.In a race featuring most of the top road athletes in Namibia on Saturday, July 29, Frans Hosea and Hilaria Johannes emerged as the PriceWaterHouseCoopers 15km Champions for 2006.
Frans finished in 48m 25s followed closely by Reinhold Iita in 48m 43s. The men's race was hotly contested with Willem Rooi challenging the winners all the way and finishing third in 49m 07s.
