Pirates dominate Cazadores tourney

Coastal Pirates dominated the Cazadores Inline Hockey tournament in Windhoek from May 26 to 28, winning five of the nine age group categories that were contested.
Clubs from Windhoek, Swakopmund and Otjiwarongo competed in the tournament which saw 71 games played from Under 8 through to the Masters division, with a total of 399 goals scored.

Namibia crush Kenya

Namibia started their World Cup 2007 campaign with an impressive 84-12 victory against Kenya at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek on May 27.
Playing an expansive 15-man game, Namibia attacked the visitors from the start to build up a 35-0 lead at halftime. The onslaught continued after the break as Namibia eventually ran in 12 tries, with Kenya scoring two late tries against the run of play.

SKW survive the chop

Cymot SKW fans and players celebrated spontaneously after beating Orlando Pirates 1-0 at their home ground in Olympia on May 27.
The result meant that the Olympia-based club, in its first year in the Premier League, had survived the relegation axe and will remain in the Premier League next season.
