A last minute goal gave Civics a 2-1 win against Tigers on May 14 to maintain their charge towards a second successive Namibia Premier League title.
Letu Shatimwene gave Tigers a first half lead, and when Civics defender Donnely Nell was sent off for stamping on an opponent, Civics had their backs to the wall.
Civics tightened their grip on the Namibia Premier League title when they beat their closest challengers, Ramblers, 2-0 at Windhoekâ??s Independence Stadium on May 13.
In a dramatic start to the match, Civics were awarded a penalty in the first minute after a handball in the box, but Heini Isaacsâ?? shot was superbly saved by Esau Tjiouro.
Athletics Namibia's (AN) secretary general, Elizabeth Kamutuezu, has resigned with immediate effect.
Local media reports on May 12 have it that Kamutuezu resigned because of work pressures and study commitments. However, Kamutuezu herself hinted that the continued managerial and administrative turmoil at AN had contributed to her decision and she is quoted as having said that â??at the end of the day you lose your credibilityâ?.
