Haitengi sets new triple jump record
Submitted by editor on Sun, 04/09/2006 - 21:06.Athletics fans were treated to some great performances at the 10th anniversary of the Coca Cola Frank Fredericks Invitational meeting in Windhoek on April 8.
The only Namibian senior record to be broken was in the menâ??s triple jump where Rodger Haitengi set a new mark of 16,17m. This narrowly beat the previous record of 16,16m which was established by Eugene Venter in 1993.
Fiji, Tonga go top

A second half hat-trick from centre Tomasi Mawi helped spark Fiji to a convincing 48-3 win over a brave USA side and secure their second successive triumph in windy conditions at the Dubai Exiles.
