Knight is back to his best
Submitted by editor on Mon, 04/17/2006 - 12:46.Namibiaâ??s Gary Knight proved that he is back to his best by winning the Menâ??s Open category at the All Africa Waterski Championships at the Von Bach Dam on April 16, 2006.
Knight won two of the three disciplines to win the title with an overall score of 1 654,04 points, ahead of South Africaâ??s Simon Fairbank whoâ??s overall score was 1 540,94.
Johannes wins gold at Two Oceans Marathon
Submitted by editor on Mon, 04/17/2006 - 12:40.Namibiaâ??s up-and-coming marathon runner Hilaria Johannes was in excellent form to win the womenâ??s 21km category at the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town on April 15, 2006.
The 21-year-old Johannes produced a storming run to win the event in an excellent time of 1 hour 13 minutes 35 seconds. Poppy Mlambo of South Africa came second close to two minutes behind in 1:15:20, while another South African Ronel Thomas came third in 1:15:26.
Namibia to play Chinese Taipei

This follows Namibiaâ??s convincing 56-5 win against Korea on April 16, while Chinese Taipei narrowly beat USA 15-14.
