Submitted by editor on Sat, 10/28/2006 - 19:26.Namibia beat Morocco 25-7 in a tough and uncompromising first leg Rugby World Cup qualifier in Windhoek on October 28, after leading 10-0 at halftime.
Morocco proved to be tough opponents and it was only in the final 10 minutes that Namibia managed to score two tries to build an 18-point lead to take into the second leg in Casablanca on November 11.
Muinjo wins NFA elections
Submitted by editor on Sat, 10/28/2006 - 15:42.John Muinjo was elected Namibia Football Association (NFA) president after beating Hendrick Dawids by nine votes to six at the associationâ??s Extra Ordinary Congress in Windhoek on October 28.
But the elections were overshadowed by a scuffle between two members of the Otjozondjupa region who were divided on which candidate to vote for for the NFA presidency.
