Namibian players are turning on good performances in the South African Premier League.
Sidney Plaatjies made a fine debut for Jomo Cosmos last Sunday by creating both goals in his teamâ??s 2-1 win over Moroka Swallows. Plaatjies provided the crosses that sunk Swallows.

Helaria Johannes continued her excellent form of late when she won the Nedbank 10km South African Championships in Stellenbosch on Saturday, October 21 in a new record time.
A huge field of more than 10 000 athletes participated in the championships, but Johannes stamped her authority on the race from the start. She got off to a fast start and soon took the lead, leaving the rest of the women trailing behind her.
