Namibiaâ??s cricket team recorded a great victory after beating Free State by 8 wickets in Bloemfontein from October 26 â?? 28.
It was Namibiaâ??s second consecutive victory in the South African Airways Provincial Challenge after they beat Limpopo by six wickets in Windhoek on October 7.

The Minister of Youth, National Service, Sport, and Culture, John Mutorwa met with the International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF) representative Leonard Chuene today to resolve the problems affecting Athletics Namibia (AN).

The first leg of the Air Namibia Inter-Series was once again filled with superlatives. The organiser - Windhoek Moto Cross Club â?? kept its promise and delivered "Power, Speed & Action". After 3 exceptionally exciting heats, the German, Benjamin Kolberg (Jägermeister Team) had a headstart of one point. Ross Branch from Botswana put on quite a show during the "E.L. Sea Products King of the Dirt".

A total of 13 age group records were established at the Pupkewitz Schools Gala that took place at the Olympia Swimming Pool on October 27 and 28.
Alexander Skinner, Quinton Delie, Jonay Briedenhann and Christine Briedenhann each broke two records, while the other records were established by Tristan McDonald, Rory Schanknecht, Corinna Wahl, Byron Briedenhann and a relay record by St Pauls College.

Namibia beat Morocco 25-7 in a tough and uncompromising first leg Rugby World Cup qualifier in Windhoek on October 28, after leading 10-0 at halftime.
Morocco proved to be tough opponents and it was only in the final 10 minutes that Namibia managed to score two tries to build an 18-point lead to take into the second leg in Casablanca on November 11.

John Muinjo was elected Namibia Football Association (NFA) president after beating Hendrick Dawids by nine votes to six at the associationâ??s Extra Ordinary Congress in Windhoek on October 28.
But the elections were overshadowed by a scuffle between two members of the Otjozondjupa region who were divided on which candidate to vote for for the NFA presidency.

Japhet Uutoni was crowned Namibiaâ??s Sportsman of the Year for the second year in a row at the MTC Sport Awards function on October 27.
At a glitzy function, attended by close to 1 000 invited guests at the Safari Court Hotel, Paulus The Hitman Moses also won the Sport Achiever of the Year award for the second year in a row while Helaria Johannes won the Sports Woman of the Year award for the first time.

Namibiaâ??s sportsmen and women will be honoured at the annual Namibia Sport Awards function, which takes place at the Safari Hotel tonight.
Various winners will be announced, from the Sportsman and Woman of the Year to the Junior Sportsman and woman, the Most Improved Sports person, the Senior and Junior sport teams of the year, the Coach and Administrator of the Year, the Best Development Programme of the Year and the Sport Achiever of the Year.

Namibian boxers Vikapita Meroro and Willbeforce Shihepo want to use their international fights in Johannesburg, South Africa on Friday to enhance their professional careers.
Meroro, a super middleweight will meet Immanuel Gwala over six rounds, while Shihepo will take on Steven Tsonga in a middleweight bout over the same distance.
