Namibia won the ICC Under 15 South and Central African Cricket Competition after overwhelming Malawi by 241 runs in their final match at the Wanderers field on September 17.
Namibia scored 301/1 off their 40 overs, with captain Raymond van Schoor scoring 123 from 108 balls, Rob de Koning 106 and Shaun Ellis 47 not out.
England won the World Cup at the fourth hockey ?Mini World Cup? which took place in Windhoek on September 17.
The Mini World Cup was launched by Namibia Sport Dynamics in 2003, with children from Under 8 to Under 14 level representing various countries. From an initial 150 children it grew to about 450 at this year?s event. The Sign Shop has sponsored the event since its inception.
