Wanderers surprised Unam with a hard fought 2-1 win in a Tafel Lager women?s Premier League match on March 2.
Unam were favourites to win the match, but a fired-up Wanderers ran out deserved winners against an under-strength Unam side that included three second team players. One of them, goalie Emsie Skrywer had to receive treatment after colliding with a flying Jarine le Roux, which personified Wanderers? determination and gutsy performance.
