Civics crash out of NFA Cup

Civics continued their dismal performance in the Tafel Lager Namibia Football Association (NFA) Cup when they were eliminated by KK Palace 17?16 in a marathon penalty shootout on January 23.
It was a 2-2 draw after full time at Tsumeb?s Oscar Norich Stadium.
The defeat was a bitter pill to swallow for the former 2003 Tafel Lager NFA Cup champion, who have now been eliminated in the first round for the past two years. In 2004, Friends defeated them 3-2 at Otjiwarongo.
In other first round matches, Tigers thrashed the hapless Space Age 11-1, while African Stars walloped Teenagers 10-0.
Defending champions Black Africa started their title defence on a high note when they defeated Young Braves 7-1.
